the family dynamic has largely changed over the last ten years. This is partly due to the rapidly rising rate of divorce in the United States as well as the increase of teen pregnancy and people having children without being married. Because family units are meant to be a united group of individuals mutually invested in raising a child, the division of these families changes the dynamic and definition of family. It causes complicated family units and leads to split families and children having more than one family unit.I believe that family will continue to split into multiple family units and extended family will continue to be less involved in the wellbeing of the children not contained in their immediatefamily. In contrast, the legalization of same-sex has enabled people who are truly in love to get married and be able to get raise children through alternative means. It has led to the growth of the family unit and connectedness of individuals. It has led to the strengthening of relationships within families and changed the view of marriage in the eyes of many.
