to sickness funds to cover their sicker patients that have chronic conditions ("Health care in Germany: Health insurance in Germany", 2018). One financial implication in the US regarding Health care is that if you are self-employedthan getting insurance privately can be very costly to cover. Plans can cost hundreds of dollars since you do not have an employer that helps with the cost. Another financial implication in the US is that the cost for plans through employers can vary. The portion the employee pays can be hundreds of dollars each pay check. In Germany a financial implication is that insurance is automatically deducted out of your paycheck and is based on how much you make. You have no control over what is deducted since is automatically controlled by the government. Another financial implication is that you pay a certain percentage no matter how sick you are. If you are poor and very sick you may pay less for insurance verses someone who is middle class and healthy because it is based on income.
