Which causes congestion on the road ways. Also, the drug overdoses from heroin and fentanyl. Manatee county has the highest deaths related to overdoses in the state of Florida (W.B).

The biggest strength for the community is the growth that they are seeing. They are building a new high school due to the overcrowding at the current high school. They are building a super Walmart, movie theatre to just name a few. Sonic had left the area about 10 years ago, but just recently rebuilt in the area. J.D had mentioned that her concerns about community health was the elderly residents. Most of them are what are called snowbirds and are only here 6 months out of the year. They are usually ill when they arrive and end up in the hospital.
