Satisfaction • “Venable is a wonderful place to work. There is a drive to do the stellar work for our clients but also enjoy practice law along with our colleagues. The work is interesting and the partners are great mentors.” • “I get to work on intellectually stimulating cases and play an active role in setting strategy, appearing in court, and motion practice. I’ve been given opportunities to grow as an attorney and hone my specific practice areas and I enjoy the group of people I get to work with every day.”

567 Vault Guide to the Top 100 Law Firms, 2018 Edition VENABLE LLP • “I’ve found the work to be fairly interesting and the hours not too bad. Partners generally respect associates’ time and set reasonable deadlines for projects (when possible). The quality of the work can vary, but that is true for any BigLaw firm.” • “I feel very fortunate that I have a job I look forward to coming into every day. The attorneys I work with are smart, friendly, and give us real work. I drafted a 20 page motion to dismiss in federal district court, from start to finish, as a third-year associate. And partners actually look out for associates—one made sure I got 100% origination credit for a small client I brought into the firm—and all partners ask about my workload before giving out new assignments.” Firm Culture • “The firm has an active social life and is very friendly. Formally, they hold regular get-togethers to celebrate holidays and practice group accomplishments, as well as providing health fairs and yoga classes. We bring in cupcakes and sing happy birthday to members of our practice groups and often have lunch or dinners together.” • “Wonderful partners who strive to teach associates how to produce excellent work product for clients but also understand that associates are people too. This is not a sweatshop like some other firms, and the work-life balance is great. Several social opportunities but no pressure to attend. For example, the annual bocce ball tournament and Halloween party.” • “Almost all attorneys are friendly and a pleasure to work for. We have the occasional happy hours and lunches, and we definitely spend time both in and out of the office talking together about work and life. The firm is also willing to invest in associates who show initiative—the firm spent over $2,000 this year on professional opportunities for me, because I sought out organizations to join.” • “I work in a practice group with several other young asso- ciates. Collectively, we are very supportive of one another, and we make time to socialize in the office (i.e., group coffee runs) and outside when we can. Every month, there is an all- associates happy hour for the entire office.” Associate/Partner Relations • “The firm management is generally transparent with firm performance and finances. The partners that I’ve worked for genuinely care about my professional advancement. I can see that they had mentors that have helped them and they would like to return the favor to the younger generation.”

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
