foreign country to learn the language as quickly as possible. I do pride myself on having at least some background knowledge when it comes to medicine and its related fields, however I know that there is still much for me to learn. This will be most easily and quickly accomplished by my time spent inside hospitals learning on the fly and gaining valuable life as well as job experience. After my summer internships this summer and hopefully the subsequent summers I will have amassed a knowledge base in the field large enough for me to apply for a research lab. This will most likely occur my junior and or senior years of undergraduate school. Having these two blocks in place will allow me to have yet unseen benefits over that of my competition in the job market. Which is why the third step of my life plan is to get a job in a well-respected field. Whether that be biomedical engineering or not, as I stated earlier I have yet to commit on a specific type of engineering, and therefore have yet to land on a tract within that specific type of engineering. I assume that I will use my time at the hospital internships to use as a gauge and determine whether or not I truly enjoy the work “out in the field”. In summary I plan to wait on applying for research positions for about two years, I plan to work at a hospital over this coming summer and use my time there to both gain knowledge about the human body and biomedical engineering, and also to tell if I like the field of work biomedical engineers do. If all goes well in just a few short years I will be out looking for a kickass job in at least some field of engineering.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
