The strength of the article is that is possesses a clearly outlined purpose. The study is also well designed and executed. The authors systematically carry out experiments in a way that it is easy to follow along. The entire study is also structured in eligible manager making it easier to grasp the concepts being communicated. The article Continuous passive disinfection of catheter hubs prevents contamination and bloodstream infection used in the literature is also a quality resource. The study possesses a clearly defined purpose. The author intended to determine the effectiveness of using disinfections caps compared to the adoption of alcohol swabs. The study is also well designed and executed. The experiment conducted in the research was conducted systematically; first involving the use of alcohol swabs and then repeated using disinfection caps. The authors demonstrate a strong understanding of the relationships between the variables involved, which are the settings in which the patients are subject to and the response of the target population. The findings of the research advance knowledge in that the reader informed of the effective CLABSI between the adoption of the alcohol swabs and disinfection caps. The articles adopted in the literature review had some similarities and differences. On the similarity side, the articles touched on the effectiveness of the disinfection caps on the prevention of CLABSI. All the articles agreed that indeed the use of disinfection caps was significant in preventing CLABSI. Wright et al. (2012) even went further to determine that passive disinfection

It is important to mention that some gaps were noticed in the process of gathering information for the literature review. Some articles adequately addressed the research question while others failed to tackle the hypothesis appropriately. In my opinion, the gaps emerged as a result of the ambiguous scope of focus involve with the article. Some of the studies had a broad focus that led to a lack of adequate coverage concerning the research topic. Other research studies, on the other side, maintained a narrow focus; concentrating specifically on the role of disinfection caps on the prevention of CLABSI. The other cause of the gap in the literature review was the lack of adequate information regarding the use of disinfection caps on CLABSI prevention. This situation was attributed to the use of secondary data that possessed limited information regarding the role of disinfection caps on CLABSI prevention. On the other hand, the studies differed in the nature in which the studies were designed. Some studies such as the one presented by Wright et al. (2012) and Wichmann et al. (2018) focused solely on the electiveness of the using disinfection caps on preventing CLABSIs while others such as Medina et al. (2014) concentrated on comparing the use of alcohol swabs to the use of disinfection caps in the mitigation of CLABSIs. Moreover, other studies were broad in addressing the research question. For instance, Marschall et al., (2014) suggested the various
