There are a lot of controversies of how religion is acceptable to better the world. Some
people believe that it is the responsibility of the government. Meanwhile, some others disagree
and believe a society needs to be united around a shared theme. An article in USA today stated
that: "This big experiment of turning us from a Christian nation into a secular one isn't going so
well. It's no coincidence that our problems get bigger as we make God smaller" (USA Today,
2011). The major issue of Christian is that it has been hard to evaluate or examine the
consequences of being involved in a Christian life. "The normative statements of Christian faith
and life, for example, are so very elevated, while the people who are Christians are so very
ordinary. There is typically a glaring gap between what people profess to believe and what they
actually do and appear to be in their everyday lives" (How Christianity Coopts Its
Contradictions, 2000). There is still a different between how to open up an ideal Christian aspire
compare to the ability of Christian people to live that life in spite of the unconditional and
forgiveness of God. The Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross is just help to clean the sin of human, it
cannot make people to become perfect and have ability to live without sins. In the Bible, it stated
that only Jesus Christ is perfect and clear from sins.
The similarities and differences between Catholic Worldview and Christian Worldview

I have been in Catholic since I was born until now and I considered there are a lot of
similarities between Catholic and Christian worldview. And of course, there are many differences
between Christian and Catholic as well. The first similarity is about the belief of God, both of
them believe: “There is only one God: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. There are three
persons of God but all three unity in One Unity” (Comparison between Catholic and Christian).
One God can behave like the other Ones and they all have the same power and the same love to
humanity. Second, both Catholic and Christian believe in the life after Death. Good people will
have Eternal Salvation in Heaven and bad people will have Eternal Damnation in Hell. It also
exists a “temporal third state before Heaven for those who desire purification which is known as
Purgatory” (Comparison between Catholic and Christian). Third, we both have inherited
“original sin” from Adam. Human being is the inherently evil and needs a forgiveness for their
sin. The major differences between Catholic and Christian Worldview is about the confession.
