I can agree with you when you say, “Older workers bring a lifetime of experiences but may also lack the technological skills for today’s workplace”. Younger employees have the technological skills most older workers struggle to obtain. However, as the team grows, both older and younger employees ought to factor in that they cannot discriminate the skills of one another and focus on teaching and working with one another. The more people age, the sooner they look to retirement, and that presents challenges for companies who want to retain the wisdom and credibility of the mature workers (Kulik, Perera, & Cregan, 2016).
