On the other hand, organisations that do not advise staff members of changes to technology, products or updates run the risk of appearing unprofessional and inconsistent in their approach to staff and the market. Apart from the reasons aforementioned, it is important to encourage staff to have the following values in order to get a better interrelationship and allow the company to work better: integrity, empathy, respect, trust and honesty. 5. It is important from management perspective to identify and rectify any issue immediately to avoid situations worsening or getting out of control. 6. What networking methods would you employ as a manager and what information could you obtain through your network? It is important to remark networking provides an opportunity to develop communication and people skills. Some networking strategies for staff and managers include: Attend seminars and conferences. Become a member of an industry body. Send out information about yourself or your organisation to others. Join a social networking site. Join a networking group. The common outcomes that could be seen through network usually are related to an improvement in employee’s relationship that encourage and motivate each other to do better. By networking, we may be able to find out the following: Latest technological advances from competitors. Industry trends. Continuous improvement process. Government and regulatory activities. Changing requirements of staff and customers. Legislative issues and changes to their industry. Cultural factors within the organisation that can be creating an impact. 7. What would a performance management plan achieve?
