team based approach the decision-making process can take a long time. Meaning that teams need to meet and discuss scenarios and come to some form of a compromise to resolve the scenario. (Kokemuller, 2018) Teams also need a lot of specific coaching in order to be successful, organizations don’t typically just throw random employees in a room together and expect the outcome to be successful. This coaching is yet another resource that the organization will need to plan for as an expense. Another issue that the team based approach may experience is the lack of recognition and encouragement for individuals. Since trainers and coaches are evaluating the team, this can often create tension between members who are seen as not pulling their wait to others who are overachieving. (Gray, 2018) When addressing all levels within an organization, upper management also needs to fully support and practice the team based approach as well. If this is not adopted from the top of the organization down, entry level employees will resist the approach and the program could fail in general because of that. How, as the HRD (ED) professional, would you address these training issues?
