This preview shows page 11 - 15 out of 15 pages.

The binding of NE to alpha receptors in the smooth muscle of a blood vessel has a stimulating effect constricting the vessel. The binding of NE to beta receptors of another vessel has a dilating effect. But, binding to beta receptors in cardiac muscle has a stimulating effect. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
