Michael Fortier took a plea deal and testified against McVeigh and Nichols. He was sentenced to 11 years for his part in the bombing and lying to investigators. He was released from prison in 2006 [Okl14]. Timothy McVeigh was found guilty of 11 counts of murder, conspiracy and using a weapon of mass destruction. He was executed on June 11, 2001 by lethal injection [Okl14]. Timothy McVeigh had associations with the Patriot Movement, White Aryan Resistance, and Covenant, the Sword and the Arm of the Lord (CSA). Members of the White Aryan Resistance stationed at Elohim City are thought to have played a major role in the bombing [Lou01]. There is no direct connection to link their participation, but there is substantial circumstantial evidence pointing to their involvement. It is believed that many members of the groups were at Elohim City while the planning was being conducted. While reviewing the extensive investigation and history of the Oklahoma City bombing it becomes clear that Timothy McVeigh and his conspirators are cowards. They attacked innocent

people, including children, in their so called war. They had become so disillusioned in their beliefs that they took their vengeance out on innocent people. America was forever changed that day. Families lost loved ones, survivors have to live with the events, and a piece of America was lost. Timothy McVeigh may have felt his intentions were true, but he had lost sight of the true meaning of liberty. His cowardly act did nothing more than strengthen others and their resolve.
