can at times take advantage of me because I tend to give without expecting something in return. This can get me in trouble, but it is done without seeking validation from others. Briefly summarize your thoughts on Rogers’s major concepts of the self, self-actualization, and unconditional positive regard. Most of us have an idea of whom we want to be, how we want to be seen, but not many know whom we truly are. As human beings we tend to put a value on who we are and our actions. When things do not go as planned those values get reevaluated. Roger’s major concepts of the self, self-actualization, and unconditional positives regard was that individuals perceive and accept into one consistent and integrated system all his sensory and visceral experiences, then one can necessarily be more understanding of others and is more accepting of others as separate individuals. What research design(s) did Rogers use in his studies? Rogers used a qualitative and comparative research design which involved client-centered therapy. He also used his clients’ sessions as case study research. Do you think Rogers conducted his research ethically? Why or why not? Absolutely, Rogers conducted his research ethically. He had high standards when it came to the confidentiality of his clients. He made sure he did not violate the privacy or trust of his clients no matter what. References Cervone, D., & Pervin, L. A.
