MELBOURNE EXHIBITION CENTREThe cooling tower is used in the HVAC system to reduce the water temperature after heat exchange takes place in the chiller component. The water is supplied to the cooling tower at around 35°C, it travels down through the ventilated core of the tower and cooled to around 28°C. whilst the temp drop is not high it is sufficient in transferring heat out of the cycle. Maintenance, monitoring and cleaning of the cooling towers is vital in ensuring quality running conditions. The HVAC system primarily uses the HHW [boiler water] in the AHU to heat supply air, however other applications include supply heat for the hot water services etc.COOLING TOWERSYSTEMHOMEINTRODUCTIONCONTACTSHVAC SYSTEMSVERTICAL TRANSPORTELECTRICAL SYSTEMSCOMMUNICATIONSFIRE SYSTEMSSTUDENTSTYPECOMPONENTS 1COMPONENTS 2LOCATIONAHUCHILLER ROOMCOOLING TOWERPUMP ROOMINSTALLATIONMAINTENANCEAREA + VOLUMECOOLING LOAD 1COOLING LOAD 2INTEGRATION

They also travel the length of the exhibition area in the basement service area.HVAC systemSYSTEM LOCATIONBuilding Environmental Services :Major AssignmentPUMP ROOMLOCATION PUMP SWITCHBOARD*note. The pump room occupies a large area. Firstly due to the number of pumps and secondly to allow circulation room and areas for maintenance and access to the pumps and surrounding service rooms.
