Then I chose theadequate training for each skill that should have been enhanced.b. After I identified the skills that have to be developed I wrote down the development opportunities such as training. For the time management skills I chose to have a face to face training on the job while for customer service to attend the lectures. I’m an auditory learner that’s why for me is better to attendlectures and trainings where I actually can learn listening (Please see attached Visual, Auditory & Kinaesthetic Questionnaire) c. The new skills that I’m planning to acquire to maintain a competitive edge are: - Multi-tasking skills- Artisan skills

Constantly improving latte art, learning new techniques of pouring the milk will help me to differentiate from other baristas. Multitasking is also very important in my job. You must be able to do more things in once especially at the peak times of the days. Answer always promptly to customers questions, giving them suggestions about coffee or advices. And the last skill that I’m going to focus on its time management which is essential to keep satisfied customers. d. Four networking that I think could improve my profession are:- To create a profile on industry. That will help me to meet people of my same profession. - To become a member of ASCA - Australian Specialty coffee association. If you are a member of ASCA they keep you updated with the upcoming events. Also you are able to participate to different international competitions. - Joining a group on Facebook you get the possibility to ask for opinions about coffee in general. Post pictures of coffee products and sell them online. - Create a LinkedIn profile helps you to stay in touch with colleagues, discover professional opportunities and get the latest news, inspiration, and insights you need to be great at what you do.e. My professional development is going to help me to work more professionally under policies and procedures of the café. After completing the professional development I will be able to follow better customer service policy. I will know how to answer to the customers about the products and handle complaints following policies and procedures.
