It includes the following topics: Overview of the Workflow Recovery Manager on page 246 Administering the Workflow Recovery Manager on page 248 Recommended Techniques to Recover a Workflow Process on page 250 Recovering a Workflow Process on page 250 Overview of the Workflow Recovery Manager Functionality provided by Workflow Recovery Manager includes: Recovers interrupted instances of a long-running workflow process upon failure of the Siebel Server. As the instance is recovered, the Workflow Engine attempts to continue forward execution. If forward progress is not possible, then the workflow is marked as IN_ERROR and manual intervention is required in order to resume the workflow. A instance of a workflow process is resumed at the last checkpoint in order to maintain the integrity of the execution. The checkpoint is automatically determined by the Workflow Engine based on hints that are provided by the developer during development. The Workflow Engine automatically persists relevant execution data in order to resume execution upon failure of a workflow process.
