GUN CONTROL 10 Conclusion The above discussion underscores the fact that gun control is a complicated debate in our society. It also discloses that the possession of weapons has significantly affected students due to the increased number of shootings that have occurred in learning institutions in the recent years. Also, the paper takes note of the fact that legislations that exist have not been effective in guaranteeing that gun violence is put to an end. The existing laws at both the state and federal levels show that gun control measures cannot have a uniform approval across the board. This presentation propagates that gun control laws must attempt to consolidate the important aspects identified at these two jurisdictions and create regulations that are in the best interest of all Americans. My opinion is that the media should continue focusing on the topic because of its importance to the American nation. Gun control is indeed a newsworthy subject. In addition, I believe that students should not carry guns to school. If every learner had a gun, then it can be argued that the institution no longer serves its purpose. One can perceive Universities as military training venues instead of learning institutes. It is, therefore, imperative for legislators and other stakeholders to acknowledge that control of gun possession is essential. If the laws are efficiently implemented, then I believe that the nation can combat the problem of gun violence.
