adopting a style to exhibit when you go out with friends on the weekend?Merriam Webster defines persona as “the personality that a person (as an actor or politician) projects in public”. (Merriam Webster, 2017)We all adopt different personae throughout our lives; it is our individual style and approach that permeates our leadership style. Our public persona can be adapted to the role we need to play, such as changing the way we talk, act and dress depending on who we wish to influence, the same as when we are with our friends. We may also have a different persona depending on who those friends are. It is just like acting a role, a role that changes depending on the play. We may have a leadership persona, a church member persona, a parent, teacher, daughter persona.
