The question is bought up here is why did he believe what the woman said but not the young man. The first thing that Juror No. 4 brought up was the murder weapon. He pointed out that it was illegal to sell and purchase switchblades. He believed that since the suspect brought an illegal weapon prior to the murder and after arguing with his father, he must have committed the murder. Also believed that since no one saw the young man go in or out of the movies at the time of the murder, and that the young man, when addressed during the interrogation at the murder scene, couldn't recollect neither the movies' names nor the on-screen characters that played in them. Another that keyed in on was that young man couldn’t find the switchblade. He pointed out that this item was very unique and not many of them were made.
