Basically, in the late 1940s, plane crashes occurred frequently and they involved many and different aeroplanes which the air force viewed as a life-or-death mystery. Resulting from those high numbers of plane crashes, it was difficult to fly from one region to another by both the passengers and the pilots themselves. This is because, death threatened and as we all know prevention is better than cure, so everybody was responsible for his or her life thus, the fear to travel. According to Gilbert-Daniels, plane crashes occurred as a result of mechanical error rather than human error. Since the plane had been made based on pilots’ averages from 1926 to late 1940s, they were actually designed to fit no one. This is because there is nothing like an average person. Through the extensive research Daniels carried out, it is evident that no single pilot fit within the average range. People vary in terms of their nature whereby, one airman may have a shorter than an average leg length but a longer than an average arm length. On
