look at each kind and why each one is appealing. Comedy can also tell you a lot about the time period it was written in. At the time and place of the ancient Greek comedies, the political and social climate was very different than today. It is worth studying those plays and other works in order to learn more about the times. A class with the name “Comedy” is going to invite two kinds of people. Those who are genuinely interested in all forms of comedy, including the wittier commentaries, and those who are mistaken and believe the class will be entirely focused on shows like Family Guy. The most productive way to captivate both audiences would be to begin with dissecting the more popular forms of comedy and seeing how they eventually relate to the original forms. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
