would be very expensive to purchase. Kingo and employees can create the company’s own application and forms. The waste management industry is very fragmented as mentioned in the article; it consists of many small and fewer companies that compete for a place in the market. As a result, this drives down prices which is good for customer but presents challenges for companies like Van Junk trying to maintain their position in the industry. This is good for customers but taxing for companies such as Van Junk. That’s the reason Kingo thrives to offer highly competitive pricing, just a basic fee of $50. His research has provided him with great options to choose from, it is up to him to select one that is best in line with his strategic goals. Part 2
Our team worked well together considering the circumstances; we used both texting and email to plan and designate roles. A group text was sent which included an exchange of phone numbers for us to get in touch. We reviewed the assignment instructions and divided the first part of the assignment into three parts, with each member responsible for one. Since Part 1 had three question and we have three members in the group, it made the designation simple. One member created and shared a Google Docs document which allowed our group to attach their work to be viewed, review and edited if necessary. The collaboration solution allowed us to work in real time without the need to re-save and resend documents in an email form. Although we designated each part, we also were able to analyze, edit and have input on each other’s work, this way we’re able to work cohesively and stay on track. Although our team has been really good with giving each other updates and making changes on the google docs, we do feel like there is always something to improve on. One of the areas that we can work on is to communicate more effectively and to text more often as we finish our individual parts. For example, a simple text like “just made some edits” or “just finished part one” would give us a better indication as to where we stand in the assignment. By doing so, we would be able to maintain constant contact regarding our individual contributions and the overall status of projects in order to complete them on time and around each team member’s schedule flexibly.
