Appendix A The similarities between VIB and VietinBank: - Goals: In 2018, both banks operate with the criteria “customers are important” and offer a strategy that aims to invest in upgrading facilities, advanced technology and upgrading network expansion. In medium and long – term development of VietinBank and VIB, they aim to improve the service system and the ability to meet customer needs to bring their organizations to new heights in 2020. - Objectives: At the end of 2020, VietinBank and VIB aim at increasing charter capital and using capital efficiently and reasonably for sustainable growth. - Size: Both banks are commercial banks with total equity of over 10 trillion VND by the end of 2017. At this time, there are over 150 branches of each bank in Vietnam. - Growth: Growth rate of VietinBank and VIB is approximately 20% every year. - Products offered: They provide services related to sending, saving, receiving money, credit activities, and loans support.
