Although people can see this as a weakness for me to not want to goof off when trying to finish something, I just like completing things in its entirety, prior to carefree enjoyment. Although I had learned more about what strengths I have, I was also able to see some weaknesses that I possess. At the beginning of my semester-long journey with my group, I barely knew my team members. I am a person who is very conscious of what people think about me, so I was an introvert. I wanted to get to know how my peers acted prior to them seeing my true self. Through this, I can learn of their preferences and dislikes, so I do not end up doing something that bothers them. I do this because I do not work well with conflict. Some may see this as just my work style, but I find it as a flaw. I tend to be more cautious than I should be, being very distrustful of people at first. A characteristic that scored very low had been my forgiveness. Since it takes a lot of time and effort for me to get to know someone, when he or she betrays me, I hold a lot of bitterness. I may keep my guard up too much when I really have no reason for it. With the scores I had for the Hogan exercise, I found a few other weaknesses as well. For instance, I scored a 7/100 on leisurely. The severity of how low I scored myself on that aspect is very evident in my everyday personality. When speaking to my writing coach, Blair, I mentioned how I always feel uptight and have the need to be constantly doing something. Knowing how much potential is given to a single human being amazes me, and having such a gift, I find it a waste for people to not utilize it to their advantage. When I picture an ideal environment, there are several changes to the status of today’s environment. In terms of jobs, it must be something that does not have an entirely consistent environment. I get both easily bored and tired of repetition. In the most idealistic environment for me, I would like to be surrounded by people who truly

4 care or at least attempt to put effort and acknowledge who I am and what I do. I appreciate being respected, since I am a person who cares about affiliation and recognition. Being acknowledged for my accomplishments makes me feel very proud of myself. Since I do not have the highest ego, keeping an ambitious outlook and being noticed for what I do makes me hope to be highly regarded for all my efforts. I like people that are both humorous and intelligent. I will find it much more difficult to talk with those who cannot keep conversations sustainable with me. These attributes are just several qualifications for the type of person I can stay compatible with in terms of marriage. I enjoy when life gives me challenges, because it gives me a goal and a reason to stay determined. Knowing that I have an objective to reach, I get to learn my limits and what I am capable of doing.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
