Josie’s view of what an Australian ‘should’ look like is not the reality as Australia has one the largest multicultural populations in the world – resulting in many different skinned, different accented and different dressing peoples. 5. Discuss Jessica’s response in relation to the changing nature of Australian culture and cultural competence Jessica’s response shows that she is very aware of the multicultural society that we live in and that we should respect one another and work together to achieve our shared goals (as with many Australian’s).
