praise when he does something positive. I chose this because he needs to learn that seeking attention through negative behavior is not acceptable. Mommy Don’t Go: She simply has separation anxiety. Guidance technique: to talk to her in a loving manner and tell her mommy will be back but we are going to have fun. Divert her to an activity because this will promote prosocial behavior by allowing her to make an internal map. This in the long run will reduce the separation anxiety. Bully: I felt that the child may be insecure because she is bigger than the other children so she is simply just acting out. Guidance technique: Let her know that bullying is unacceptable and let the parents know. Solution: I could teach her how to play and share with others nicely. This would help to promote self-control. I selected this because bullying is serious and needs to be addressed immediately. Conclusion In my paper I have discussed activities dealing with Lincoln Logs and using the Montessori Method. I told how they are alike and different. I also developed activities that will nurture and challenge my class to promote healthy growth and development. I have also listed different learning techniques to promote healthy reading and writing to The Gifted, ADHD, Physical Disability, and Speech Delayed children. Lastly, I have given reasons and solutions as to why each scenario given.
