that. With that said it truly depends on the person. If you want to do something, then that’s what you will do. If I post a poem on my Facebook site and someone cuts and pastes it on their site is that a case for stealing my intellectual property?

I would want to say that it is not right for someone else to take someone else’s work and use it. But, when you use facebook, your property is facebooks property. And because they allow people to copy and paste I guess it’s not wrong. This is why social websites should be used at a minimum. If you have something you don’t want others to touch, you probably shouldn’t post it on facebook. As in Introductory to Computer Literacy “To protect ourselves from those who wish to use computers to infringe upon our rights, knowledge is the best defense (Bowles, 2010)”. You have to know and understand what you are using and how you are using it. Facebook can be an awesome tool and it’s part of our new technology world. But, we have to be smart with the things that we post. References Bowles, M. D. (2010). Information to Computer Literacy. Retrieved from Bowles, M. D. (2010). Information to Computer Literacy. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
