safety to ensure that lives get saved. This course and the extra training I gained will help me as a practising nurse in a clinical setting. I believe that by obtaining this knowledge, I will be able to make use of it in a patient care setting to provide safe and quality-driven care. With the core values established from my schooling, along with this certification, I feel confident and ready to be practising safe and therapeutic care as an RN. Several standards set quality nursing care and patient safety that need to get met. Subsequently, the best possible results can get achieved with the availability of resources (Masters, 2018). Offering only the safest of care to clients is covered within one of the standards of quality of patient care. The definition of provision of patient safety is by providing the right patient care while lowering the risk of adverse health outcome (Sherwood and Zomorodi, 2014). Through data collection and analysis, I was able to observe the entire circle of patient quality and safe care. Apart from just having an understanding of how RCA get conducted, I gained the ability to analyze potential results, risks as well as identifying interventions. Applying the RCA six steps facilitated the opportunity to participate in a full process of RCA from the starting point to the end. Additionally, introducing the FMEA tool established the process of assessing a proposed method as well as identifying its strengths and weaknesses. The
