as physical reinforcement, could potentially cause Amanda to internalize the behavior of not  touching things that do not belong to her. Furthermore, it could even result to physical  aggression towards others if they were to touch her belongings. Agreeing with Locke and  Watson, incidents like this could have a bad outcome and could teach Amanda to be  aggressive towards her own children in the future.  In today’s time, it may be more beneficial for children to have both parents living in  the same household so they can receive both the mother’s and father’s love. Research  indicates that children living with both parents are well rounded and have greater social and  academic skills compared to children living with a single parent. After evaluating Ginny as a  sole provider for the children, there are several reasons why George should have the  physical custody. As a father, he has a warm and loving personality and is very responsive  towards his children. According to Erikson and Freud, two psychoanalytic theorists, children  that experience warm, trusting, and friendly behavior are likely to be securely attached to  the parent; these early behaviors can improve their psychological development later in life  (pg. 154). George’s pleasant behavior towards Amanda and Sean can help them develop  positive social skills. Children imitate the behavior of adults and are more likely to be

Saad Qureshi 5 welcoming if George is hospitable towards outsiders. During the time of the interview,  Amanda even came as close as giving the observer a smile after reassuring with her father  that it was okay to do so. Amanda used her father as a secure base; it was a way for her to  ensure that she will be safe in George’s presence and can depend on her father for  emotional support. George also knows and understands his children’s unique personalities.  This can be advantageous for George as he will know how to interact, nurture, and  discipline both Amanda and Sean on an individual level. This will further assist George in  effectively communicating with them.  However, there is also evidence against the decision of giving the custody to George.  For example, although George knows his children’s unique personalities, he is unaware of  their specific preferences when it comes to food or TV shows. Amanda is only two years  old; her likes and dislikes are specific in terms of food. Knowing Amanda’s explicit needs  could help him keep her happy and healthy, which is a key ingredient to growth. While

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
