No, not all companies need to use social media for customer service and advertising; companiesshould look at their demographics first to see if adding social media will be beneficial. Using social mediato advertise to the older demographic may be a waste of time since older people do not tend to useapplications such as Twitter and Snapchat. Other companies that do not require social media include many pharmaceutical companies. Usuallytreatments for difficult disorders must be verified and then medication must be prescribed. Having socialmedia to promote a pharmaceutical company would not be advantageous for the company. If the target audience for a company are millennials, social media marketing would be extremelyimpactful. Social media marketing would also be useful to smaller businesses that are trying to grow theirbrand. Social media marketing is best suited for companies that deal with goods, services and awarenesstowards a large group of people such clothing companies, technology companies, foundations and thegovernment.
