information systems that play a role in the adoption of CDS some of those being ImmunizationInformation Systems (IIS), Electronic Health Records (EHRs), and Health InformationExchanges (HIEs). These tools are created to help with schedules and guidelines in healthcare, that are developed by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). The ACIP is“a federal advisory committee responsible for providing expert eternal advice and guidance onthe use of vaccines and related agents” (CDC, n.d.). Health information exchanges are a verybeneficial tool to CDSSs because they offer a large variety of information in the clinical world.Clinical Decision Support systems reward quality over quantity by providing a “softwarethat analyzes and ranks the appropriateness” of a medical procedure (Keen, 2014, p. 1). Thisabsolutely creates grounds for reimbursement. Quality of care is essential when using thesesystems.James 2:24 says, “You see that person is justified by works and not by faith alone”.Quality is achieved by ensuring that patients are given proper care and attention.
