·69 Eating disorders - Anorexia: Also called Anorexia nervosa is a potentially life- threatening eating disorder that is characterized by self- starvation and excessive weight loss . The disorder is diagnosed when a person weights at least 15 % of their normal/ideal body weight. Girls between the ages 12-25 have this and 15% die every year. - effects 1% of women - Bulimia: Also known as bulimia nervosa, is an eating disorder characterize by binge eating followed by purging- vomiting or taking laxatices . Affects mostly women and teens. -Obesity: is a medical condition which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have a negative effect on health. -Due to a lack of physical activity -Children rather watch T.V than go outside & play Personality ·70 The BIG FIVE: OCEAN - Openness: includes characteristics such as imagination and insight. - Willingness to try new things & be open to new experiences.
