MONITOR AND REVIEW OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE 3.1 – Develop, monitor and review performance systems and processes to assess progress in achieving profit and productivity plans and targets Now that you have set your strategic goals and operational goals and set up new staff, you need to develop a Performance management system. ȃ¸ Ĵ ǯ ¸ ｢ ę ǯ · ｢ ｢ ǯȄ ´ Ǳ ǯ ǯ To monitor a Performance Management System, you need to know what you are going to monitor. For example if you are going to monitor an employee’s job performance, then you could develop an employee performance appraisal to determine whether the employee is performing at an acceptable level of whether they require assistance to learn how to work at that level. To measure performance, it is important to understand that monitoring performance is usually done by monitoring the progress of staff through their duties. For example, do they finish their required tasks on time? If the answer is no, then you need to find out if there is a reason why? If the measurements do identify a weakness, you need to identify if there is a defining factor that impedes their ability to perform the task on time?
