types of technologies. The limitation of what could be put in an electronic message was  something I had yet to think about. I began to look at the difference between short  messages and long letters. The question that continued to go through my mind was how  did we get here? How did we go from writing long letters to 160 character messages? It  does not make sense to me.  As I continued to do more and more research I found very few articles on the  subject. What I was finding were articles that look at the emotional aspect of  communication. I was able to expand my question by looking at the emotional bonding  that occurred during communication. I want to see if there is a different level of bonding  between face-to-face communication, letters, and social media communication. I also,  want to understand if any of these types of communication can help grow an existing  bond or can create a new one.  For my first article review I chose a basic one that showcased the limitations  created by electronic communication. This was a great place to start, because it gave me a
