revenue of air cargo industry (Boeing 2017). This makes air freighter vital to national economic
growth. freighters will continue to carry more than half of the world’s air cargo for the next 20
years (Boeing 2017).
One of the major factors that influence air freight is nation’s economy (Jeff, Cheung,
Michael, Xiande, & Min 2010). As air freight remains one of the biggest contributors to national
economy, nation’s economy can affect demand and supply of air freight: when economy is
booming, demand for air freight services can exceed capacity, which could lead to higher prices.
