I also read the operations manager’s daily tasks include production planning. It includes aggregate operations planning, resourceallocation, and scheduling. Its overall purpose is to maintain a smooth constant flow of work from start to finish so that the product or service will becompleted in the desired time at the lowest possible cost (Heizer, Render, & Munson, 2017).ReferenceHeizer, J., Render, B., & Munson, C. The operations manger has theirhands in many departments and can have a major influence on the success of the organization. I believe their influence within human resources isovershadowed by the logistic operations. Their influence is key into hiring the right individuals that will be able to effectively execute the direction theoperations manger has for the organization. They people make the operation a success and it is the operations managers job to ensure tasks arecompleted effectively, while minimizing cost.
