Badr Shakir al-Sayyab o Poet from Iraq. o Wrote poem "Song of Rain" -> Inshoudat al-matar. Bisharah al-Khouri (al-Akhtal al-Saqhir – Akhtal Jr) o Lebanese poet, called "The Prince of Poets" Salamah Musa o Egyptian journalisnt & novelist, wrote travel books. Khalil Mutran o Lebanese poet who lived in Egypt. Khalil Baydas o One of the most well known Palestinian writers, wrote 63 books. Salah Abd al –Sabur o Modern poet of Egypt.
Tawfik al-Hakim Najib Mahfuz o Egyptian novelist who wrote about 60 novels (comparable to Charles Dickens) Ihsan abdel Kuddus Tawfiq Yusuf Awad Yusuf Idris o Journalist, novelist. Jabra Ibrahim Jabra o Wrote strange novels like Franz Kafka fetishizing contemporary Arab predicament. Emil Habibi o Palestinian, wrote novels in Arabic . Amin Maalouf o Lebanese writer who moved to France (wealthy due to novels) o Modern age "Georgie Zeidan" Said Akl o Last of the classical poets.
