Adesanya act towards different drinks. I believe that Tom Standage wrote A History of The World in Six Glasses to inform people about the six drinks that defined each period of time. The intended audience, I think, are everyday people. They are the ones who are going to take in this information and think differently of each drink, they will start thinking of where it originated, who drank it, and how it evolved to become what they are drinking now. I learned a bunch from this book, I love history and things like this are what I would like to learn everyday. I think just as the reader I described, I think about how we as a society are connected through liquid. We took the most basic survival need and got creative. It would define your status, mark your culture, and bring people together. I would definitely recommend this book to others. It makes you see everyday things in a different light. It is interesting to see how drinks came about and the difference between the times. It is truly a great book.
