hands and they dance together. They go to the breakfast table, and Girl S hugs another girl as they walk there. Another girl starts eating the breakfast, but Girl S just watches her and talks. Shegestures a lot and expresses a lot of emotions.Time 9:30-9:45Girl S continues to talk to another girl. They jump and dance around as they talk. The girl seems very excited to share everything with her friend. She then leaves her friend and goes to the teacher. Girl S whispers something to the teacher; she has a very concentrated and serious face. After that, she goes to the “home center.” She picks up a toy cup and plays with it for a while. Then Girl S decides that she wants her hair in ponytails, so she asks the teacher to do her hair. She is very patient while her curly hair is being done, though she does not miss a chance to talk. Because she has to stay still, she gestures even more as she speaks. Time 9:45-10:00Kids are told to clean up. Girl S wants buns instead of ponytails. She comes to me and asks if I can make three buns. I do her hair and tell her that her hair is very soft. Girl S replies that it always gets soft after she sleeps. “It gets straight is I brush it,” she explains to me. It’s time to go outside, so Girl S finds her friend that she previously talked to and they go to a little toy house together. They pretend that they are selling lemonade from the window. Then they run out and talk to the teacher. Her friend then asks the girl if she want to go to the playground. Girl S replies“sure’ and they run to the playground where they ride a tandem bike.
