I have chosen the EPA. The EPA and their responsibility are to be sure that everyone is given the same amount of safety. This is done because the EPA is prepared to provide guidance, coordinate and review implementations of the executive order. They issue facilities, issuing licensing, and setting standards to provide safety precautions and help establish safety of everyone’s health. 2
Environmental Justice 3. How does the agency integrate rules and/or regulations that attempt to protect the entire population from environmental hazards, regardless of socioeconomic status, opportunity and privilege? The EPA integrates rules and/or regulations to protect the wellbeing of people and the environment. EPA develops and enforces regulations that span environmental topics. The EPA protects by cleaning up, so we won’t have to deal with pollution. Protecting everyone’s health by making sure we are educated about all hazards that are caused by chemicals, radiation and pollution. 4. How effective are the rules and/or regulations at protecting the entire population from environmental hazards, regardless of socioeconomic status, opportunity and privilege? It is very effective because the EPA has mandatory requirements that apply to businesses, state or local governments, and non-profit institutions. They enforce the rules to protect the environment and human health. They prioritize environmental justice. They also have civil enforcements which can result in having penalties and other actions and the criminal enforcements can include fines, restitutions and even jailtime.
