in order for my students to find and make real world connections.
Likewise, I will be combining technology and the materials such as dry erase boards,
manipulatives, coins, counters, blank teen frames, ten frame flash cards, calculators, worksheets,
and dry erase markers that will be used during the lesson. This will help for the student to feel
more engaged, prepared, and demonstrate their knowledge to reach the objective.
Since this is an effective differentiated classroom, I will be conducting both Formative
and Summative assessments. This includes things like greeting the students as they entire the
classroom and when they leave, observing the students on what they are working on individually
or in a group, getting feedback from the individual, peers, and parents.
The point of Formative
assessments is to use as a guide to help students improve instructional outcomes so the teacher as
a chance to adjust to the student’s needs and learning styles without bias (pre-assessment,
informal and formal assessments).
Summative assessments’ goal is to measure and evaluate all
the student's know from the start to the end (Midterms, Finals) with no or little help from the
teacher.
