This makes for and akward situation and for the wrong informaiton to be transmitted to the patient.”(Jessen,2007) Other risk factors for doctors connecting with patients on social networking sites is they are violating codes of professionalism, eithics, and ones overal perception of their health care provider. While patients may reach out to social networking sites for support, it may not be a wise decision for healthcare providers to socially network with patients. Mobile computing and social networks have many advantages to the way healthcare management systems do business. As previously stated healthcare providers and patients can work togeather to stabalize ones health condition. Through mobile applications patients can have an active role in their maintaining their heath. Furthermore doctors can have real time access to patient informaiton and make decisions quicker for their patients. Other parts of the healthcare system such as the pharmacy can also connect with doctors and patients through technology applications. These recent technology developments have changed the health care industry and how records are kept and maintained.
