There are also treaties that tries to reduce the size of navy’s 10 years after these efforts, it’s almost a joke about how bad the country is and how much these treaties are disregarded. US continued to loan out money; exported a lot b/c it manufactured a lot and farms produced a lot US is not really a big military power but as far as finance the US is huge; they invest a lot overseas Germany was blamed for WW1 and was handed a bill for $33 million and so to make these payments they borrowing money form the US and then giving it to the allied powers which kind of means that the US is funding for the European economy to come back together When the US economy goes down, the global economy goes down the toilet There are some nations in the world that are unhappy and others are angry, all that have major issues; problems grew Hitler comes to power in a strange series of circumstances and is popular b/c of what he promised the Germans b/c Germany had been through so much bad; by 1933 Hitler comes along and says that things are and b/c Germans are superior and they represent the racially superior people of the world and the problems were not their fault it was enemies both within and outside of Germany that were trying to keep Germany down; ethnic minority groups were the enemies; he promised that he would create an empire with Germany in the center; he was very good speaker by studying movies; he takes Germany out of the League of Nations and in 1935 Germany began to rearm by the Versatile Treaty he created and no one does anything Japan begins expanding their powers and tries to beat the West at its own game; it decides that it is going to industrialize even though it does not have abundant resources so it goes elsewhere; you see a rapid expansion of this policy in the 30’s; 1936 Japan left League of Nations and abandoned all of their treaties; as it became a bigger military power, it goes and brutalizes China The US is doing nothing about all of these foreign countries doings; US was aware and cared about what was going on overseas but in this time they cared more about their day to day survival b/c it was during the depression era II. New Problems in the 1930’s Germany was re-militarizing and spending During this time, people were depressed and didn’t have time to worry about the war when they were having to worry about their own well- being People were looking back to American involvement in WW1 and came to the conclusion that their involvement was unnecessary, the war was stupid and Wilson was a huge failure US banks were lending a lot of money to the Allies There were a lot of things going on that caused Americans to want to stay out of the war Neutrality Act: laws were passed that were made to keep another situation like WW1 from ever happening again o US could not lend money to the belligerents o Arms were restricted to belligerents

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
