In my opinion Ericsson states her thesis when she says “We lie. We all do… Or
does it?” in paragraph three. She states the idea that while we all lie and see it as
harmless, it may actually be very significant. She talks about the different ways that
people lie and the way that those lies affect the liar as well as the people who have
been told lies.
3. Ericsson classifies as “lies” some behaviors not always considered dishonest.
can “ignoring the plain facts,”
“deflecting,” and “omission” be types of lies?
“stereotypes and clichés” and “groupthink” qualify as lies?
