rates have increased 13.5 percent in Lynwood Unified School District, which proves that the increase in AP participation is actually a great thing. This change improved our school’s status and now it will be recognized for this achievement. Many also believe that an AP course will damage your GPA, when it actually does the opposite. An AP course will give you an extra point that actually makes it seem like you got a higher grade. For instance, if you took AP Biology instead of regular Biology and get a B, it counts as if you got at A. These college level classes offer the opportunity for the students to excel in life. Equal AP access is what allows students to prepare for the future. Why should privileged people be the only ones to get this option? Without this opportunity and support, many may miss out on the chance to go beyond what they believed they could do. Perhaps having easy AP access could help a well deserving student find a path to their future. If equity isn’t there, many may go to college and feel completely lost, when all along they could have had the chance to get ready. I once heard,“ In education, there is a golden triangle of quality, quantity, and equity. You just can't ignore one while strengthening the others.” Lynwood Unified realized that having all three of these would lead to it’s success, and it's about time for others to learn that too.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
