CON121 Contract Planning Lesson 5.4 - Applicable Requirements to Include Foreign Acquisition, Labor, and Environment The Berry Amend ment Regarding purchases of te xtile and apparel it ems, the Ber ry A mendment requires that funds made available to DoD may not be used to purchase cl oth ing; tents , tarpaulins, or co vers; cotton and other natural fiber products , woven silk or woven silk blends, spun silk yarn for cartr idge cl oth , sy nthetic fabric or coated sy nthetic fabric (including all te xtile fibers and yarns that are for use in such fabrics), can vas products , or wool (w hether in the form of fiber or yarn or conta ined in fabrics, materials, or manufactured articles ); or it ems of individual equipm ent manufactured from or conta ining such fibers, yarns, fabrics, or materials unless it is grown, reprocessed, reused, or produced in the United States .
