deployed protocols—including HTTP/S, SMTP, DNS, and FTP. Built on the full-proxy architecture of the BIG-IP platform AFM inspects server-to-client communication to ensure no private data, such as credit card or Social Security numbers, is accidentally leaked. AFM mitigates many attacks before they even reach the server, so the applications on which your business relies remain secure and available. F5 hardware delivers the scale and capacity to handle high-volume attacks, allowing your applications to be protected against as many as 38 DoS vectors with detailed info on attack conditions. The following use cases are examples of how QRadar can leverage the value of F5 BIG- IP products, which customers have already invested and deployed throughout their infrastructure. IBM Security QRadar and F5 combine to enable customers to reach compliance and security goals. 1. Use Case Story – DoS at a large retailer is prevented AFM events indicate that a particular source IP is repeatedly doing queries on the Store locator page. BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) logs highlight a backend failure at the retailer: there is an unhealthy server not associated with Internet client traffic. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
