hard for the debris to break down and in most cases the process takes centuries. Death cases of large sea animals such as whales and turtles are reported because they ingest indigestible materials. Before negatively affecting marine life, plastic products also have a negative effect on the health of human beings. Almost all commercial plastic products that have been tested harmful leach chemicals even when they are kept in conditions under which they are not supposed to leach the synthetic estrogens. The conditions that are known for unlocking potential harmful chemicals in plastics include heat from microwaves and ultraviolet rays from the sun Some policies have been implemented to help reduce plastic waste pollution, especially in the oceans. For example in the US, the Washington, D.C has spent a lot of cash in buying and using boats to get rid of the plastic waste that floats in its waterways. Some policies have been recommended, and I believe they will be able to counter plastic-related pollution. A significant policy is a ban on single-use plastic bags. Companies, especially those that produce plastic products do not support this federal government policy. They claim that the government should focus on how to recycle these items. It is important to note that the rate of plastic bag recycling is meager in the areas that it is carried out. Critics also claim that those who use the single-use bags reuse them for household reasons. Nonetheless, they fail to realize that most of the bags are released into waterways eventually. In addition, they get into landfills and lead to problems for companies that handle waste by destroying their equipment.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
