homework. The Starbucks information on their code of ethics was more of a booklet to the
stakeholders I believe. I did search for Starbuck’s code of ethics but that is all I found without
committing a huge amount of time and resources. The McDonald’s page which was from the
book but was redirected did not really have the code of ethics it was more like things they had
done such as community services and stuff.
I think that Starbuck’s code of ethics or booklet showed that they did have direction and a
reasonable person would know where they stand on issues and what they expect from their
employees and stakeholders. I did not like the fact that you had to sift through the information to
find what you were looking for. I think that if you were an employee of Starbucks you would
know what was expected from you and you would know what the company stands for. I believe
that you would know that the company seems to have a good business culture. I also ran into a
sheet that was a code of ethics for the CEO and financial leaders. This code of ethics seemed to
lay everything out in one page and also they were required to sign to show that they understood
and acknowledge what is expected.
The McDonald’s page was more like a history, community action, leadership, and values
page. It did tell things that they did for the community. It also showed cases and such like values
in action. It did show some of the good that they do and is a good example of how a person in
