BEHP 5011 –Syllabus OCT 2019_ 9_13_19_BE 10 Course Materials Location. All unit materials (PowerPoints, study guides, instructional videos, etc.) can be accessed through the course website (Canvas). The materials that comprise the Instructional Handbook may be downloaded for each unit. Availability. This is not a self-paced course. The unit materials and videos for each unit are made available on Fridays at 12:01am Eastern Time. See the Session Summary for unit open dates. Instructional Videos Students are REQUIRED to watch ALL course instructional videos. There are approximately 4.5 hours of video for each unit. Students should complete watching the video lectures PRIOR TO their online meeting with their co-instructor! Students are encouraged to begin watching the videos as soon as they are made available. Students should have relevant materials for the unit (study guide, PowerPoint) available while watching the instructional videos and should be able to answer active student responding questions and take notes. Use of the guided notes provided in the Canvas course site and in the instructional handbook is HIGHLY recommended. Accessing and Viewing Course Videos. Course videos are available to stream through the Brainshark video delivery system. Students will access the course videos by logging into the Canvas course site and then into their Brainshark account. More information is provided in the orientation module of the course Canvas site. Videos may be viewed from a computer with internet connection or via a mobile device. In either case students should watch the videos at a time and place that is conducive to learning and is safe (i.e. not while operating a motor vehicle). Students are encouraged to take notes, write down example and non-examples, etc. In addition, the use of the guided notes is highly recommended. The unit videos are broken into several parts, each of which is approximately 30 minutes in length.
